easier on small tanks to put a few drops in the buckets, larger tanks, depending how your fill ttem, is quite often easier to put declorinator in the tank before water goes in.

Doesnt seem to make much difference really. i use both methods - and don't notice any difference to water param's. On the 4', 3' and 18" tanks, i put 2-3 drops in the buckets, and fill from them, the 6ft i fill with a hose pipe atttached to the shower, so i add a few drops every min or 2...

depends on how well fed, and how often they are fed i think. If they are starving, then will eat pretty much anything, if they don't need to eat (unlike a lot fish), they don't.

sounds a little small for convicts to breed really :/ Having not kept them tho, i can't say for definate, although im sure some other members would\could advise better there. Males are usually the larger of a pair in cichlids (for fighting i guess). maybe a difference of ages in your case...

what site did they spawn on? was it in a pit that the fish had dug, a flat rock in the open, in a cave, or someplace else?, can you guess how many fry? Can you notice any difference in the male\female? and can you give an approx size of the 2 that have spawned?
