I have now changed my tank to sand and it looks great. I think it would look lovely with an UV light in it , i haven a clue with lighting my tank just has a normal (!) light in it at the moment so which one would you recommend? My tank is 3ft x1 1/2 ft with live plants. thanks! wrong section...

Hi i an soon going to change from gravel to sand , I have currently got a UGF with a powerhead in my tank. Can anyone recommend a filter for my tank to go with the sand? Measurements 3ft L x 2 1/2 H x 1ft W. Thanks.

Hi im a lurker more than a poster but your always great for advice so here goes, Im decorating the living room soon and i need to move the tank to another room (3ft)for abou a week, how do i go about it? do i emty 3/4 of it and carry it and then put the water back in ?

Hi im going to chang from gravel to a very fine gravel/sand . At the moment i have an under gravel filter ,I understand you dont need one with sand. Can anyone recommend a 'outside' filter? My tank is 3ft wide 15inchdepth 13inch front to back.

My brothers tank is very dirty he hasnt done nothing to it for months. Would it be ok to compleatly emty it of everything, scrub/clean and put it back? Would the fish be ok in a buket while im doing this, how long would it take to heat up to 23 ? Any advice appriciated!
