Its going to be a community tank. Its got 2 cherry barbs, 6 glowlight tetra and a bristlenose plec. Suggest brands and a power for lights/heater/filter. Penguin BIO-Wheel 125: I like this is it internal?

If you can fit another plec(bristlenoses are great) it will help the algae situation. Are your plants plastic or living? It sounds as the algae is out competing the plants for CO2 ions etc. If plants are real make sure they get the required light and if your tank is in direct sunlight id advise...

Id reccomend cherry babs after all the research i think their best suited to smaller tanks plus there cute!

Well if they look bloted they mightbe contapated. Feed a shelled pea see if that helps

Although they(bristlenoses) do have a perchant for java moss(or my mates does) Its golden, i dont know if this would alter it?

What is the recoomended wattage per gallon? For a 14 gallon american which filter would ou reccomend? For a planted 14 gallon tank what wattage light?

Firstly do not add fish without cycling unless you want to do cycling with fish which IMO is quite...disrespectful. Anyway read the stickied threads up there ^^^ they will sort you out :)

Yeah its just the space ive got im prob going to go for my first choice. Now is it overstocked PFK say it is slightly buy with good filtration and maintenence it will b e fine. Those sizes are adult. I got my heart set on a warf custom just because I can have virtually any size :)
