Your tank is looking good. I know OTOS are pretty hard to keep. I had a few once but they did not last long.

maybe that's why its called a mystery snail you never know what it really is.

hmm I have Cherry Barbs myself but I have never seen a veiltail one. its possible that one of your other fish were picking on it unless its tail was tattered when you got it.

Im not a pleco expert so Its hard to say why he stays on the filter. I know plecos can get quite big.

Its probably not the most accurate but I use the strip that sticks on the outside of the tank glass. I had one like the first one picture and alot of the fish would knock it around and the suction doesn't always stay stuck to the glass.

Hi Ravenes. First of all welcome to the forums. I'm not sure about rams but I would think some corys would work. 30 gallons is a pretty good sized tank. You have come to the right place. There are plenty of friendly people here that should be able to help.

A good example is Cherry Barbs. Now this fish at least in my tank all 5 of them swim pretty close together most of the time all though they will go all over from time to time in there own directions.

BIGGER TANKS ARE BETTER THAN SMALL TANKS.

I never had a clown pleco but I think that color changing is cool.

From what I gathered from the post It looks like he/she was going to move the guppies from the 15 gallon that are currently with the betta and put a gardneri in with the betta. I am not sure what else would be helpful. I do know some bettas don't get along with other fish.

a school is when a single species of fish swims together and a shoal is a whole community of fish swimming together. at least that's what I think. in the movie finding nemo a school was multiple fish together.

I never heard of Imbellus.

I am told the Marimo ball can also help. I have one in my current tank the 10 gallon.

Hmm the only Pleco I can think of that won’t get really big is the Bristlenose. Also Otos are supposed to be really good if you can provide enough food to keep it alive and have enough room for more than one. But like what was said before some algae is a sign of a healthy tank.

I am am sad to say if your doing a fish less cycle it would take several weeks for it to be ready for fish. The Nitrogen Cycle takes time to develop.

Yeah it’s hard to say what caused that spot but it does look like something got the top fin.

It might be sleeping otherwise if it doesn’t look like it’s breathing or doesn’t move after a while I’m sad to say it might of died.

That tank would be really good for Angelfish.

I am not sure how much more can fit in there. guppies are active fish. I would be careful.

Cherry Barbs are fun. they don't get much bigger than about 2 inches and are always active. they do best in groups. I have 5 of them myself.

There are a lot of Gouramis and also I think they can grow the feeler back Im not sure. There is one odd ball of the gourami group called the Giant Gourami.
