Actually the swordtail chases the barbs all the time. Like I said he was the only fish in the tank for awhile, so I guess he thinks the barbs are moving in on his territory. Shawn

I have my male swordtail in with 2 green barbs, he rules the tank. But i think its because he was in there by himself for awhile before i added the barbs. Shawn

Look in the plants, in the gravel, in and on and around any ornaments you have. Babies are very good at hiding, especially when Im trying to net them out :) Shawn

I can usually sex mine at around 2 or 3 weeks. Just look for the little gravid spot between the anal fin and back of the tummy. If its there, its most likely a female. They could start reproducing at as early as about a month or so. depends how fast they are growing. Cant help with the moor...

Mine started at about 2 months (born march 15 at 5 am, dont ask what i was doing up at 5 am on a saturday, i have no idea LOL), they are 83 days old now and looking awesome! Shawn

If you or anyone in the house is into crafts, you could use quilt batting or fiberfill. As long as there isnt any fire retardant chemicals or anything else weird on the label, it should work lovely for a filter. Oh, and go buy your dog a new mattress :) Shawn

I feed a few baby guppies to a male swordtail and 2 green tiger barbs a few time a week. They just love them, unlike the adult guppies, who havent ate a whole lot of their babys. Shawn

My gups are usually kind of grayish or maybe kind of clear when they are born. Dont know about platys (yet), just got a male yesterday :) Shawn

I wouldnt think so. But to be safer, make sure its close to a wall, and on top of as many floor joists as possible to distribute the weight. Shawn

We made a tunnel out of a 2 inch pvc tee. We siliconed some small (1/2 inch and smaller) river rocks that we bought at wally world (in the craft section...cheaper), and put on a few small fake plants that came with the net breeder thingy we have. Looks pretty good, and the fish love it Shawn

cardinals are all red & blue, along with what pufferpack said. neons only have red on the bottom back half of them, with the front underside silver/gray/whatever color it is. I love neons, nothing prettier than a big school of them swimming around together :) Shawn
