I think yes just for the simple fact that most of the poeple receiving the goldfish are kids and it gives them the reponsiblity of keeping a fish. If thats what they do with it. Also its a steping stone for future aquarium keepers

cry tear number 50,001 i said im not gonna fight my new betta. Thats the only reason i bought my first one, to see it fight. ITS A FIGHTING FISH PEOPLE. BUTTT i like them more now than just to fight them so im going to CARE for this one dearly. Thats why i want a rare one.

I want to get a new betta, cause mine is all worn out from fighting. THe next betta i want to get would be a rare one with nice colors. I'm gonna have this one by itself in a very nice 8 gallon tank. Its also never gonna see a fight in its lifetime. I will baby it and take very very good care...

I would say to do it. Those fish are :cool: And im sure your other fish wont be in danger if you raise a young GT in the tank. The other fish are big enough to defend themselfs.

Ive been feeding him flakes in the morning with shrimp, in the afternoon i feed him 1 little goldfish (which he eats) and some ham at night. he loves ham, my daughter threw in a piece and it ate it quick. When he gets bigger i might have to start throwing in B-B-que chicken hahaha

i completly understand where your coming from i personally have one in a 5 gallon tank and hes very happy. i was just stating that they can live and be happy. hes got plenty of room to swim. not just laps he can swim up down left right no prob.

just to let you guys know i gave a albino betta to my mother over a year and a half ago in a vase. i came back to visit her like two weeks later and she had put plants in it. THEY DO LIVE its been alive ever since. she does feed it every once in a while. He is happy and has lots of swimming room.
