i wouldn't go with them blue acara maybe if she was small and from personal experiences there fairly peaceful. But jewls are very aggressive. and they would probably kill the other more docile fish in there when they grew up.

yes that sucks alot. but besides the paint fumes..was there any soap or anything near your tank? cause if soap might have been accidently nocked over and leaked into your tank then that would do it for sure.I could have been anything not just the paint fumes cause i kind of think its a bit hard...

Glo-fish are neat but my local pet store was selling them for 20 bucks so forget about them. i once saw a neon tetra swim through there little school and they kick the piss out of him and ripped him apart..haha poor guy

yeah you should buy a pair of rams.they won't be aggressive. but guppies might be allrite for a bit,but the would most likely get killed when the angels grow bigger. But another fish i was thinking about was a clown loach. there peaceful and they school. and they would help clean your tank so...

yes i have to agree with Juanvaldez on that one cuase live foods...i guess you can say there too good of a food.there so good that that too much can kill your fish partly cause the foods mostly fat.

Try feeding him Frozen brine shrimp or plankton or maybe even daphnia and even the small guys could get some

How big is your oscar? one of mine was agressive but as he got older and bigger he got wiser and not as agressive. and my other one is a bit smaller and younger and hes very mean and allways starts fights with my big one and he isn't as smart and if somethings funny in the tank he'll just go in...
