    Plants Of Polyp Tank

I'm emptying my 72 gallon 48x18x20 tank and plan on stocking it with my favorite fish, and one of my favorites. Fish: P.Senegalus P. delhezi P. ornatipinnis BGK Raphael cat or Leopard Ctenopoma Maybe a ABF I'm planning on making it look good as I can. The decor I'm planning is a pre-made DIY...

    Got A Baby Senegal!

Over here, you can buy ones at 4~5cm......They are really tiny! I wonder if those could adapt to a normal fish diet?? By the way, I prefer my polyps big.......That way I can be more sure about them eating well, but come on: Small ones are CUTE! Gosh, just writing these words makes me want to...

    Best Tank Mates For Frontosa

I think these guys are too "touchy" about frontosa. Like, they almost "worship"them and keep them in prime(That's different to optimum, or just work out) and are very aggresive towards any sign of seemingly "neglet" behavior. Fronts are strong. What's the big deal with them? Return to the main...

    Breeding Senegals

Since they live in tropical African rivers, how about a rain simulation? Like, feed them well(Live foods will be even better), slowly increase the temperature, and make a cool water change. The water should be soft(Driftwood or blackwater extract, because they live in those waters?), and if you...

    Where's The Medaka Ricefish Going?

Could This Be A Way To Get Some Good Killies At A Cheap Price?!

A new kind of fish abuse no doubt. "Pour the media(Peat) containing the eggs into the tank. Add water, and watch them hatch out of nowhere! Just a few months, they will be over 3cm. So they do not get hungry, periodically feed them with magic shrimp(Baby brine shrimp) that also come with the...

    Neolamprologus Buescheri

I did a impulse purchase! I bought 3 buescheri for $10!! I did that without thinking, but the guy says he can sell me more later. He says that the buescheri are is favorite, but since he had so much(The only guy in Korea to breed them!!) he sold some away. He says he picked out a male and...

    Plants Apple Snails Don't Eat

To be exact, Pomacea Bridgesi. I want to keep them in a hardwater setup with anubias and vallis. Some places say it's okay, some they it's not. Are they naturally okay with hardy plants, of do they eat them, or does it depend on the indivisual snail? I've never gotten a straight answer. Even...

    Why Doesn't My Targetfish Eat?

He is only 1.5 inches long. Right now he is in a 30 gallon breeder with some plants, 6 zebra danios as dithers(Acually test fish), and some other fish who were getting beat up in my main tank. Either way, stocking levels are low(Total 9, biggest 2.5 inch), water is crystal-clear, due to constant...

    Another Odd African?

I bought it as a Tang, the place didn't say what kind, just that "It's very expensive, but I'll give it to you cheap" I first thought it could be Ctenochromis horei, but could it be something else, maybe a Malawian?

    Odd Hap

3 inches. Now I think it's Astatotilapia latesfascaita(spelling?). Looking at the bands and the red on the stomach. But doesn't it usually have clear eyes and some blue on the fins, with some yellow on the body?

    Odd Hap

Do you know this fish's name? The place says they're obliquidens johstoni, but I'm not positive....

    Target Fish Terapon Jarbua

So what I've found out; 1. Water: Brakish I guess 2. Apparently greedy eater 3. Size is a bit bigger than I thought 4. Nobody gave me any extra info. Which I guess means they are easy to keep?

    Target Fish Terapon Jarbua

I found out a really hot place that sells these cool-looking fishes. It's no doubt that they are the orginal species then :) Here's the clinch; I can't find any info on them, as much as the swamp eel. The only ones I found out are that it's brackish, can live in either fresh or salt water, is a...

    Swamp Eel Monopterus Albus!

Yeah, but if they're younger, they would most likely eat dried fooods more readily. The species is the one in the title; and it's also the only species found locally. Thanks again, but all the "oddballs" I've kept where never picky eaters so I found it a big strange. Just personal experience.
  33. T

    Swamp Eel Monopterus Albus!

Such a hardy fish is a picky eater? That's something I haven't heard before -_- ALso, that's my main concern before I even aqquire the eel. You said it had a bigger mouth than I think. Does that mean the "thinner" fishes like polypterids are in danger? Thanks!

    Monos

I went to the biggest aquarium in Korea, and they had a huge(Though not as big as that) saltwater tank with monos, scats, goatfish, lookdowns and Undulate(?) triggerfish. It was impressive, but this also matches it! The shark is a nice touch.

    Swamp Eel Monopterus Albus!

Thanks! But no luck with dried foods? Also, is mixing a problem? You said this can happen, but yours didn't. What were the tankmates? Do you think peaseful, big, easy-going species will be fine?Sorry for more questions; I'm so glad somebody managed to answer me!!Oh yeah, the ones sold here are 8...

    Swamp Eel Monopterus Albus!

Despite it growing natural in Korea, I haven't been able to find any good info about it. Not in any English sites either. So I've decided to turn to some personal experience. 1. What does it eat? Can it be weened onto nonliving foods like krill, shrimp and possible carnivore pellets? 2. How...
