Im thinking of starting a planted tank..ive been reading,with interest, about co2,dosing,substrates etc....however,ive been reading a little on glass and acrylic Lily pipes.Can someone please explain why these are good for the planted tank?..is it important that they should be made out of "glass...

I have a ph testing solution that came in a kit with nitrate test,nitrite test..etc will the ph solution be the same that is used in a drop checker?

Ok..ive think ive sussed it..ive made a reactor like this My link ... i now have minute bubbles almost like mist ,all around my aquarium...i assume this is what i am aiming for?.... now just have to think of a way to make it a bit more aesthetically pleasing.

Ive had an attempt to make my own reactor..i have glued a small plastic bottle on the end of my filter spraybar(outlet).Co2 goes into the bottom of the bottle creating a small amount of trapped co2 at the top of the bottle.after 2 or 3 bubbles of co2 enter,it is forced out of the spraybar..Ive...

Try putting some veg in your tank..a limp lettuce leaf,a pea or 2,slice of cucumber..might work
