i wouldnt reccommend anything else in a tank with piranhas, i put a 14 inch catfish in with my 2 6 inch piranhas, and it was gone in 10 minutes.....

....ive had 2 piranha alone together in a tanke for like....3 years....and they do fine together...they occasionally nip at eachother, but piranhas regenerate so quickly it doesnt really matter.

in my opinion, both have absolutely atrocious fish. ive never had anything from them live more than a couple months... i prefer either my lfs, or Petland if you have one near you. NEVER buy feeder fish from petco or petsmart....theyll live a couple of days at MOST. however, ive bought feeders...

actually....the higher the ISO, the higher the pixelation in the picture..there may be less blur, but its only because your decreasing the quality of the photo. (Coming from a photo teacher) i would however trying to use the macro setting, and if possible, lower your f stop as fas as...

yeah, i have no idea how piranha manage to repair themselves and heal so quickly.....at a fish store i worked at a while back, they had a 100 gallon with about 20 7-12 inch red bellies....and one day i noticed one that was LITERALLY half eaten....i was about to take him out, whe my boss told...

yeah...i ended up finding a BRAND NEW ONE on craigslist.com for only 15 bucks..normally 75 but the guy decided to go salt instead of fresh with his tank.

anyone know any places in the US (michigan) where i can get them for cheap? im seeing 70 bucks everywhere....anyone know anything cheaper?

im pretty sure live plants wouldnt last a day.........my piranha shred the fake ones i have in there..i cant imagine what theyd do to live ones.

ill tell you what ive learned to do....is fill up the cup type portion full of water from your tank..then pick it up out of the water so that the water begins to drain...once the water starts getting low in the cup section, put it back under the water, and you should have a syphon going!

ive been keeping fish for approximately a year now...and im knowledgable in keeping up the tank and everything...but i went on vacation for a week, and had a friend feed my piranhas for me...unfortunately, he also decided to open the shades in the room all the way so tons of light got in and...

i dont find that true at all....the only reason piranha dont move around more when your in the room is because they arent generally comfortable with people...all you gotta do in order to cure that problem is keep them in a high traffic area of your house and they will gradually become more...
