does live rock die or if its left out of water or in wrong water, i.e to much salt or not enough etc will it die and not come back or will it always eventually come back to life?

does my saltwater tank need movement with air bubbles or just water movement, my pump has a little stopper, if you tke it out it blows air into the tank but its annoying with the water sound, if you leave it in its quiet and you still see the water moving. if i need the air bubbles id obviously...

i have a 126l tank and am doing a marine/fish only but with some live rock, no coral until i get more advanced. first question how much live rock will i need to add to the tank? also how long does the live rock and tank need to be running before i can introduce my first fish? thanks

does a skimmer have to have open top/constant air?

can a skimmer that fits onto the side of the tank be fitted to tanks with lids on? i dont have anyway for it to go underneath so it has to go inside or on the side of the tank but the tank has a lid on

thqats right, i have 2 children under 5 a third on the way so having buckets of water round etc would result in disaster, im not saying i wouldnt do the maintance im just saying that i would rather spend money on a proper system than a bucket method

it was a new tank everything was cleaned before it went in. im gonna start straight from scratch so what should i use to kill all the germs in the tank, gravel, ornaments and on the plants? also once clean how long should i use it for and should i use food rotting to obtain ammonia?
