    Sorry to hear the algae has come back :( . I thought maybe your nitrates had gone up. According to the redfield ratio with phosphates of 0.25 mg/l and nitrates of around 14, you should have little chance of getting algae. Don't know how accurate it is though! :unsure:

    You could always get the water tested at your LFS if you don't want to go to the expense of buying a phosphate kit. Do you know what your nitrate levels are?

    How high are your nitrites ( sky high ) ? Seems like your tank is cycling ok to me . :cool: You can expect your nitrites to start falling soon seeing as you've got plenty of nitrate forming.
