Thanks for all your info. I thought they were called Hillstream loaches but every pet shop I called didn't know what I was on about until I mentioned Hong Kong Pleco!! I have cobblestones for it and it is a coldwater tank. Are they better in more than 1 in a tank or are they ok by...

    Hong Kong Pleco

Hi, I was wondering what you could feed a Hong Kong Pleco (sometimes gets called a Hillstream Loach). I have Algae wafers but can you feed them it everyday? I have heard people mentioning a cucumber or lettace. Do I just rip a couple of bits of lettace off and feed them it?!!! Thanks

    Coldwater fish

I have the details: Nitrate - 25mg Nitrite - 0 GH - 3 KH - 3 PH - about 7.2-7.6 I don't think I could leave the black stuff on the plants until it gets green coz the plants get really bad and they could get totally black if I leave them.

    Coldwater fish

When I last checked the nitrate/nitrite they were fine. I will check them again tonight. I've been...

I have checked on the catfish section and they don't think its a good idea for a Bristle Nose. the only other option was to get a more common one but that can grow to 20" so I don't think I'll be getting one of them! I might see if I can buy any Algae eater thanks

Hi, On the box for my filter it says its for a month. Could I maybe use this longer and just keep cleaning it in some water taken from the tank? Or maybe I need a stronger filter. It was a filter that came with the tank as a package. I normally do water changes every 2 weeks but I have tried...
