    Plant And Breeding Question

Not too sure but i once asked a similar question with two other types of ram. I was told that yes they can cross breed but the colours would not come out properly. Basically its better to line breed for more atractive fish. Might be worth a go though, see what happens.

    No Algae?!?!

Yea i never really have algae problems. Like just stated as long as there is not too much light, have real plants and good water quality it rarely is a problem. Most cases are when the tank is in direct sunlight.

Yea you should let your tank age a bit before adding anything like Neons. Its normally about 5 months before the tank will be mature enough.

Not all Plec's are big. You just want to avoid anything like the common plec which is massive. Some people say the best Algae eaters are Otto's. They stay tiny and kept in a little group of 3-4, will keep your tank looking clean. Or you could try a Bristle nose plec, they get to about 4-5 inches...

Where Has This Guy Come From?

you normally get a couple of snails of off live plants. If your not careful they will breed and they'll be millions of them. Like you said, best way to keep the numbers down is to get a couple of loaches. Clown loaches especially will keep on top of it and keep the numbers down.

    Dwarf Gourami Questions

Yes normally the female Dwarf is a lot more dull coloured than the male. I'd say they are both Male. When i bought my Gourami, the guy told me that its a bad idea to keep a pair (defintly a male pair) as they regulary squabble or atleast in a small tank.

    Siames Fighter

Don't ever keep fighters together unless like already stated, are attempting to breed. Neither should you keep anything with long flowing fins (e.g Guppies etc)with them as they wll also mistake them for another Betta and either injure or kill it.
