I haven't treated yet. Aside from water changes and melafix. From what I understand Fish TB needs a pretty srong antibiotic, and those can't be obtained in the UK without prescription - so I'm kinda hoping someone here can give advice regarding treatment.

I have a bunch of mollies in my 200ltr tank. I'm aware that mollies can often do better with a brackish setup - especially black mollies. However I also have a bristlenose pleco in the tank, would she be ok if I converted to brackish?

Using pond dechlorinator is perfectly fine. I have been using it myself for around 3 years now in all my tropical aquariums.

Ammonia from Homebase is also fine.

Thanks for the replies. Reason I was considering leaving it on - is that the tank is in my daughters room, and it could have been used as a 'night light' if it wouldn't have caused problems.

If I were to leave a blue moonlight bulb on over night (everynight) would it cause an algae bloom? Would the algae benefit from the light in that spectrum range?

In the past I have soaked wood for well over a month. It still released tannins into the tank, and was still staining the water 18months later.

I recently swapped my fish stock and now have 15 Mollies in a 200 litre tank. I know these guys are likely to breed fast, but just how fast will they breed?
