those little dwarf parrots act aggressive but once you stand up to them, they run away faster then my daino's. My Red Discus found that out and now just swims into there territory whenever he wants. I got 2 discus's now and they are showing no aggression to each other! hope this keeps up.

Just picked up my first discus today and he is already swimming around and made friends with my dwarf parrots...Going to pick up another one tomorrow so he isn't the lone discus in there. My 2 angels like to swim with him too. Looks like a start of a good relationship :)

Other then the fact that they love shifting through sand.... Gravel lets in decaying fish food, and waste in between the cracks, causing a very unhealthy condition for your bottom shifter. Sand in the other hand doesn't have that problem and with a good water circulation most of the waste end...

6 festivum looked really nice! Mine got to be about 5 inches! And they fill the tank nicely! They are a community fish so I had them with Cory's, and dwarf parrots! They will eat neon tetra's and other small fishes though!

I actually would go the other route and fully stock your tank..... Depending on how much ammonia you are adding, you might have a huge colony of bacteria present! If you under stock your bacteria will start dying off! So I think you should Fully stock... check your water parameters twice a...

I wouldn't put any festivum in any community tank that has small fishes! Especially neons and small daino's!

That might be true, but in a big tank.... Puffers need a territory that it calls it's own. So plants and hiding spots are needed so he doesn't chase down other fish or puffers in a empty tank. That's usually how some fish can survive with aggressive fishes, with enough hiding spots alot of...

Well last night I made a purchase I could regret on my new 55 gallon tank set up! I purchased 6 adult festivum for my community tank! Everything I've heard is they make good community fishes but they are goliaths In a tank of small fishes! I'll post some pictures later!

From what I know is I've seen a group of figure 8 at the lfs with there tail fins all chewed up( these were adult size) so if you plan to keep puffers they need alot of space! Dwarf puffers are one of the most aggressive puffers out there....I've seen them stand up to fish 3 times there size...
