Thanks for the comments! I think the dragonet is gorgeous - and he always swims at the front of the tank! The dragonet is eating the bugs in the tank - there are plenty for him, as he's only small and the tank has hundreds!! Laura

Your tank looks really nice! Your plecs look like bristlenoses - small yet though so got a bit of growing to do, but they won't get big! Good luck with it all!

He looks nice! I have many baby bristlenoses, and I too do not sell them until they are 1.5-2inches in length - they may well just not be able to cope with slight fluctuations in conditions when they are so small. If you end up losing this one (hope not) - the next one you buy just make sure...

Hi, I have bristlenose plecs, which don't grow big, and mine are out quite a lot during the day! Failing that - position caves and wood in places where you can still see them if they hide!

I think the fish will prefer the second one, more to do! Plus the rock will become less white with time, and therefore not stand out as much!

Thanks for all your replies! I was told by one of my LFS that I would need bubbles in my freshwater tank - hmm!! Glad to know they're not as important as I thought, as I sometimes forget to turn them back on after feeding anyway!! I'll leave my marine tank as it is! Laura

I have a tropical tank, with an air stone, and wondered whether marine tanks were the same in this respect? It's probably a silly question, but I just thought I'd see! So... do I add an airstone (bubbles) to my new marine tank, or is it not needed? Thanks! Laura.

Thought I'd add my marine fish so far... 2 Cleaner Shrimp 3 Turbo Snails 2 Clownfish. Turbo snail! Cleaner Shrimp!

I also wasn't keen on glowlights at first, but they're actually really nice first fish, and I've found them to be a lot more hardy than neons! Laura
