    Catfish for shellie tank....

if you are ending up with alot of un-eaten food no your substrate then you are most likely feeding to much... I had a 29 with 1m/7f WC ocellatus and the occies themselves kept the tank clean. I would not recomend putting any bottom feeders in a tank that small with occies...

...earthworms... very easy to culture and if done right you will have an endless supply of live food and you wont have to wait for them to grow out to the proper size like you would if you were raising guppies. I have a link to a good article on worm cultures but I have it bookmarked at home.

    Ocellated Laprologus

I personally would say 15gallon minimum for a breeding pair of occelatus, you would be better off with 1 male and 2 females though.

    My DIY 125 stand

considering that I am no carpenter it was very easy to build. It cost me alot more than just buying a stand though, but I didnt want it to look like the tank was just placed over by the wall... I am still trying to find someone to help me move the tank to its new stand.

    UG filter w/ powerhead

unless I am misunderstanding your question, you shouldnt need to worry about any bubbles... The powerhead should be installed to suck water down thru the substrate, up the tube, and out the powerhead output. As far as I knw you shouldnt even have bubbles... with the arline/pump setup its the...
