Oh.. I thought you were telling me its a male :( Errm well it appears to have tiny micro ridges and umm there's a like a ridge extended at the very top that's an opaque/white color? You can make it out in the picture.

I was intentionally going to take out the sword when the java fern and driftwood gets here. As it was just a showcase plant for my tank until everything got ready. Is there any substitutes I can use for the root tabs like food or etc.? Don't have any root tabs :(

Ahh okay, that would make a lot of sense. I actually thought they were leaf feeders. But the moly and platy Aren't producing much anyway.

If I were you, I would go all seachem. Flourish Tabs, Flourish, Flourish Exel, etc. Seachem sells their plant ferts in packages and alone. For substrate, if your using the tabs I would reccomend Eco- complete as it supplies vital nutrients for plants while also staying stable in the aquarium...
