With the hoplo cats I'd say that's really it they can get to a decent size and would need a bit of room to swim around in. Angles can get aggressive from time to time or I might of just been unlucky with the few I've had and betas are a nice fish to have by itself.

That sounds like a solid amount of fish and if anything under stocking a tank makes care a little easier I find but do you have any pics of the tank?

I assume it's not a disposable cartridge just a pad? But at least a week is generally a good start with high temps and a pinch of salt

Tetras and bards do very well in my experience along with young bichirs

Any ideas on what this is? I've never seen my bichir or puffers poop like this but it looks like a liver or possibly a piece of an organ. Any advice on it would be nice
