55 gallon community planted lace Rock aquarium.

Bruh it's a spotted congo puffer and you kept saying it was another fish then persisted it was something else. I didn't ask what fish it was but you took it upon yourself to identify it wrongly. Can't believe were back to this or really you just like to fill your day with arguments for the fun of it

Tbh bryon that website is a little wacky and you've tried to send me links to it about a fish you kept thinking I had when it's a completely different fish then tried lecturing me about said fish.

    Corydoras substrate?

As I'm looking at videos of corys eating I'm seeing lots of gravel/stone. I get that they process sand and what not but a broken down fish food that is waterlogged is easy to digest for the fish and it can suck up the particles from the substrate. I will agree it keeps sand clean which is...

Green hair algae should I keep or remove from my established tank.

The man likes the way it looks and it helps denitrafy his tank just wanted opinions on how it looks
  19. FallenPepper

    Corydoras substrate?

I wouldn't say corys are filter feeder but more of a scavenger. Most fish can "filter" sand when they eat it it just passes through them like nothing. In organics can't be processed so the body naturally gets rid of it. My puffers can do it but they're not filter feeders either. Shrimp, clams...

    Corydoras substrate?

Bryon have you ever done the bucket trick before? Clay is a softer stone and chips quickly it can take a day but tumbling it and swirling it to smooth it out is an actual thing. Just because you haven't tried something doesn't mean it doesn't work. The hobbies about experimenting and learning...

    Help! Paradise fish

One last thing if you do get almond leaves I suggest boiling them to get your tanning if you would like it then after allowing the water to cool put them in. Rehyadrates the leaves so they will sink quicker as well. Besides that good luck on the tank and lost pics if you decide to add leaves I...

    Help! Paradise fish

Ghost shrimp are cheap and I find fish love to eat/hunt them but that's all on you. It just gives em something to do but it's never a necessity
  25. FallenPepper

    Help! Paradise fish

It's a cheap way of changing your tank up with adding almost nothing to it plus the leaves help fight off illnesses supposedly. Look into it because it does tint your water though personally I love blackwater tanks.
  26. FallenPepper

    Help! Paradise fish

Almond leaves add lots of cover and corners that a fish can explore plus if your fish likes eating snails, shrimp, or crabs (they like to live within the folds of the leaves) it allows them to hunt and keeps them busy always looking for food. At least this is what I use for my puffers especially...

    Help! Paradise fish

Changing your set up in the tank or changing it into another type of environment always help a bored fish. I do this monthly for my puffer tanks so they don't get bored. Loaches or Cory's like you want to would be good in a larger tank
  28. FallenPepper

What happened to my loach overnight???

That behavior is generally temp related or food but it can go deeper than that. Like meg said we need the dets on the tank

    Corydoras substrate?

You really should be good fish arnt toddlers. If they can live in rivers and lakes that have rocks, sand, and who knows what else that could have an edge down there you'll be fine. People forget these creatures live outside of tanks as well.
  30. FallenPepper

White fuzz/mould on filter intakes question

Good luck! Would love to see the tank after too. A clean tank is the best time to show it off!
  31. FallenPepper

    Corydoras substrate?

you should be good. Though if your feeling crazy get a bucket and put your substrate In it and with lots of air and flow create a vortex that will tumble around your substrate to smooth out edges take a bit and its a little overkill but if you love the look of the substrate you could do it. But...
  32. FallenPepper

    wood shrimp

Rainbows love to eat shrimp especially glass shrimp. I deployed shrimp team 6 Into a 30g with the thought of cleaning up larva pellet and boy did the rainbow shark feast on them. Now they're a part of his regular diet
  33. FallenPepper

    Corydoras substrate?

Should be fine it's sharp rocks or really just something with a sharpish edge to it especially if it's near glass. They love to glass surf and could be susceptible to scratches and broken whiskers or barbles
  34. FallenPepper

One of my mysteries VERY cracked shell...

Unfortunately your snail is going to be prone to more bacteria and will most likely pass. My girlfriends snail had a similar issue with a cracked shell and died a week later but who knows
  35. FallenPepper

Over filtration for my 20g long?

My sump is about 600,000g and has about 4k scfm's running through it with air turning my media around in the tank. Its outside should this affect my filtration?
