    Aquarium - which are HALVED

Thank you! Yes....I want to get multiple tanks but unfortunately don't have much space, a tank divider will do the job. Thanks! :fish:

    New to aquarium plants..

I'm not an expert with plants, but here is what I would say. Maybe you already know this, but plants are divided into foreground, midground and background plants, so you can layer plants in your tank to make a natural environment. Sand may be fine but you can buy special soil with all the...

Major Refit, Snails, and lots of other problems.. What a day it has been. Long Post.

Wow. Sounds complicated. I'm no expert at heaters, I've never used one - I just have a filter. I would say buy some new things - maybe use ebay or amazon? Or another option would be buying a new tank and starting fresh, but that may be very expensive... To be honest I'm not really sure :fish...

Welcome to the forum. :) I think it's very nice and colourful! However yes, maybe a bigger tank would be better.

    German blue rams

I am not sure, but yes, maybe they are still small. Where did you get them from? Does the previous owner not know how old they are? I hope this helps. :)

Are these ADF eggs in my tank?

To be honest I am I not sure, I've never had African dwarf Frogs, but I don't think they are. If the frogs laid the eggs, then they would not be buried under the gravel (I think) they would also probably have some white/clear jelly-like sphere around them, and they would probably be in a clump...

    Albino Corys Not Schooling ?

I'm not an expert, but maybe it is because the corys are all different types/breeds of corys? Or maybe they are just stressed and getting used to their environment. Cories are more shoaling fish, so they don't need to swim in a tight school, just near each other, and sometimes even don't swim...

    Great plants for small tanks?

Thank you. I'm looking to create a kind of natural Amazon-y kind of look, (lots of greenery). :)

    Nano Shrimp Aquarium

I'm no expert but I'll have a go at answering some of your questions... 1)Generally larger tanks are easier to clean yes, and water changes are less noticeable to the inhabitants. 2)I'm not sure about a filter but make sure that the processing speed of the filter is at least 4 times the volume...

    Great plants for small tanks?

Hi, I don't have a tank yet but most likely will be getting a small/medium aquarium, most likely not much more than 10/12 gallons. (Most Likely freshwater). I'm probably going to have some small fish (eg. bettas, gouramis, otocinclus) or just red cherry shrimp/triops. I don't really want plastic...

    Hi! New member and beginner.

Hi, I recently joined a few days ago and so far I'm loving it! I've already asked a few questions and everyone has been so helpful in answering. So far I've got 2 tiny mini tanks, one empty, one full of hundreds of little copepods, and at the moment hatching triops and orange fairy shrimp...

Please help! Goldfish eye filled with blood. Urgent.

I'm no expert but from my research it may be from a fight/injury, but if he is the only goldfish then that's unlikely. Goldfishes get eye sores, bulging eyes from bacterial infections... Definitely quarantine your fish, and if you were to get a new fish/set of fish, clean that tank very...

    Aquarium - which are HALVED

Thank you, I was thinking of having triops and cherry shrimp/ orange fairy shrimp in one half, and some other fish (eg bettas) in the other. Some people say that they are fine together, although I don't think so. I think some of them will probably get eaten/ and or injured. Tank dividers are a...

    Aquarium - which are HALVED

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew any brands/models of aquariums which are halved (have a barrier down he middle) and at the same time look nice. I've done my research but the only divided aquariums I can find look bulky, are either plastic and tiny or massive. Thank you.

    Free Fish Tanks/Aquariums?

That's a good idea! The one I usually go to is Pets At Home, and its massive! I'm scared to ask as all the stuff is very expensive... However I'm pretty sure there is a store specially designated for fish which will have some cheap ones, Thank you!

    Free Fish Tanks/Aquariums?

Thank you. Yes, I agree... I knew someone who had a free tank but they smashed it up before I had the chance to ask... Thank you, I'll have a look at them. First I was thinking of a 10 gallon tank but now I'm thinking something smaller, maybe 17ltr to 40ltr.

    Free Fish Tanks/Aquariums?

Hello, I have recently been hoping to get a medium/small-sized aquarium, because I am hoping to hatch some more triops and maybe get some shrimp. All the aquariums that i find online are extremely expensive, and the secondhand ones on ebay/preloved are either too big or too small. Does anyone...

I think something else instead of triops hatched...

Thank you. I have heard that triops and cherry shrimp/other similar shrimp are fine together if they are being fed well. I was thinking to get a small/medium tank but all the ones for sale are either too big, too small or way too expensive. Does anyone know where to get free unwanted...

Do shrimps eat them? For example cherry shrimps?
  34. aqua.land

I think something else instead of triops hatched...

Yes, I bought them in a triop kit. The booklet that came with it did say that I might have some 'unexpected extra pets'. Thank you. I'll keep them for now but will try hatching some new triops in another tank.

I think something else instead of triops hatched...

Thank You! Yes, probably you are right, although they do not have a visible tail, however they may be to small to see.

I think something else instead of triops hatched...

Hello, Thank you! Yes. Here it is. The water is quite dirty...they seem to be eating stuff from it. I don't really feed them but occasionally sprinkle some triop food. I hope you can see in the photo, they are very tiny.

    Algae help!

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but sometimes you can maybe get a magnet that is on both sides of the tank, (So when you move the magnet outside the magnet inside moves against the glass, cleaning off the algae). This might help, however maybe it may not, or maybe you have already...

I think something else instead of triops hatched...

Hello, I've recently bought a triop hatching set... After many months of quiet movement, suddenly my tank is filled with tons of tiny little white dots, swimming around all over the place. At first I thought these were triops, but since they do not grow, I realised they weren't... Triops can...
