If you need something to eat left over food on the floor i would go for the corys. 

I dont know which fish i should choose i am torn between checker barb and threadfin rainbow fish. i cant find a favourite, i would buy both but i dont want to risk it as the checker barbs could nip the male rainbows fins.

I had rummynose but i wanted something different so i found the fish above and so far i am fixed on the threadfin rainbowfish until someone can change my mind

I just learnt the hard way about having backup equipment. ( my filter broke and i could not get a new one until 4/5 days later so the majority of my tetras are now in heaven.) so i guess getting another heater is the plan.   And yes you should call the store as we dont want him giving the wrong...

I guess as a precaution i will understock. If , only if i cant do a water change or i  do a water change later than usual it will not have large consequences on the fish 

Thats a really good idea from ch4rlie as it can not harm to have a back up heater

If you can not raise it to the temperature i think you should return it and get a stronger one.

I guess i will wait for a few more reply's , however the threadfins rainbows are looking as my favourites 

I am just worried as i read that they can be very delicate fish and some times i dont have time to do a water change every week and i am worried that this may kill them

Yes i do have a heater the tank currently has a few cardinal that are there just to keep something in a tank while i decide. i friend will later take the cardinals. the temperature is 26 degrees Celsius

I like the second stocking but i can only find neon tetras

There is No way the fish can live together, There is a reason why most people dont listen to the advise some pet shops give. i dont really know where to start as it seems like chaos. Alot of the fishes need to go.The clown loach and bala sharks get really big.

The fish needs its own kind or else it will get nippy, so i would look toward finding a new home for it. Also i am guessing you have danio rerio, if so in the long term the danios are fast fish and would ideally need a bigger tank to have sufficient room to swim

coloured widow tetra

I was thinking of having 6 each of glowlight ,cardinal and rummynose tetra with a few cory

Could i keep a trio of males platy as a centrepiece,

I think having the cardinal tetra is a must. So i was thinking 10-12 cardinals. Not sure if i should have kuhli loach or cory. Corys tend to be more active but i love the stripy kuhli pattern so i am split 50,50 on those. Also i am not sure which fish as a centrepiece.

My nitrates , ammonia is fine, the only thing that changes is the ph recently it has risen as the tap water ph has risen and there's not alot i could do, so i was after fish that would not die everytime the ph changes by 0.5. i got rid of the tetras i just had

If i was you i take my time and decide so you have the correct fish and dont regret your choices later on.

I am not sure, as some that i had a few years ago borrowed but a few that i got a few months ago dont really borrow. so its  a chance 

The weather loach seem a bit to big, there are kuhli loach which borrow into sand if its fine

I am risking it with the apistogramma, as it may or may not work and i have a back up plan.The Picture is not my current tank, as i changed it.Also am going to buy some Amazon frogbit to create some shade 

I am looking for another fish to add to my 100 litres tank to go with cardinals and julii corys. and i cant decide between the two above so i left it down to a vote.
