Fish Highway / Fish Bridges / Fish Towers

This very cool. I might have a solution to this and if this has already been posted, I apologize. If you can cap off the ends of the bridge, sealing the water in, then you should be able to while you are doing the water changes and then remove the caps again when the change is complete. -Brian

    New Angel Getting Nipped

Ok. I took some advice from my LFS to stand across the room very still and just watch them for a little bit and the aggressor would probably show himself. It worked and it turns out to have been one of the Paradise Gourami that was just added. Maybe this was a territorial thing. The larger...

    New Angel Getting Nipped

I recently bought a 75 gallon tank and still have 3 of the fish that came with it and are pretty mature: I have started adding new fish to the mix and most recently got a Black Lace Angel that is quite small and it appears to be getting its fins nipped. I'm not sure who is doing this or what...

    What Happened To My Fish?

The LFS gave me the answer. Turns out I was doing the Nitrate test wrong. Nitrates were through the roof (somewhere in the neighborhood of 100-160 I'd say). I also found out the shark was about 9-10 years old and they had another one that just died about a month ago so it may have been frail...

    What Happened To My Fish?

I just bought a 75 gallon aquarium that included 5 fish: 1 Black Shark (~5-6 inches), 1 Silver Dollar, 1 Angelfish, and 2 Gourami. (All are a pretty good size) The Black Shark died about 1.5 days after I got them setup in the temporary tank. All other fish seem to be doing fine. I moved them...

    Hey!

I will be I'm sure. First off, I just hope to get them safely moved, then I will figure out what I want to do with them. I am certain not to keep most of the for too long of a term, but I decided I didn't want to see them just given away to the LFS either. Maybe I will find a friend or...

    Hey!

I have not taken possession of the tank or fish yet and I am planning to paint the destination room before moving them in. There are some timing issues I'm trying to work out with that. I'm currently planning to borrow a 40g to temporarily (4-5 days) house the fish along with the bio-media...

    Hey!

Hey all! I'm just getting started all around. I just bought my first tank, a used 75 gallon bowfront with a Wet/Dry filter and have been told I got a pretty good deal. It comes with some rather large fish and I'm hoping I can keep them alive through the move . I'm getting a lot of...
