Are these also sold as 'Purple Passion Danios' or is that another species?

    Elephant Nose Fish

Wow, I specifically looked at the oddball page before posting and must have glanced right over it. Dunno if they're worth keeping based on the profile page though. Just seems like there aren't a lot of tank mates for them (that I'd be interested in). Hrmm I've also never seen one in person so...

    Please Help!

You say the tank is small-ish, how small are we talking? There are a lot of species of loaches (clown loaches in particular) that eat those pain in the butt snails. If you have the room and the means to do so, you might consider emptying the tank of fry and letting a few loaches go at it. The...

    Elephant Nose Fish

Anyone ever keep these guys? I hear they're more challenging than other fish but other than that, I don't know too much about them. Looked up some general info on a few sites, but they didn't tell me anything I didn't expect to hear. (peaceful tank mates, lots of hiding spots, can be outcompeted...

Live Rock In A Freshwater Tank?

Thanks, guys. I figured it wouldn't be suitable. I'm just not ready to get back into the saltwater game yet. Guess the live rock will stay in storage ;)

Live Rock In A Freshwater Tank?

I have about fifty pounds of live rock that was in a FOWLR tank about two years go. I had to take the tank down and the live rock (which is not live anymore) has been in five gallon buckets in storage. I'm looking to set up a freshwater planted tank, starting with a lot of plants that will grow...

    Black Ghost Knife

The electrical signals that these guys shoot out let them know what's near them. So if you have one that doesn't like to come out for viewing a lot, you can place a clear hamster tube in the tank or a clear peace of PVC and the Ghost Knife will go in there. Using the electrical signals, he will...

    Pls Help Id Puffer

Not sure if you ID'd him yet or not, but sometimes the color on the stomach can just be from being malnourished or hungry. I've seen puffers turn almost black on their stomach if their tank mates are outcompeting them for food or if they have a poor diet. Sounds like he's doing better now...
