    Do I dare?

No one thinks the cup is fine...Just because we didn't come out and say we don't like it doesn't mean we condone it. We can still appreciate the beauty within the ugly cup. It's not fair to put words in our mouths or thoughts in out head that are not there. I believe that we as members of...

Do I swap my tanks around?

You probably will want to move the shrimp with your Betta if they are currently doing well with him...I am not sure what kind of fish you have in your community tank but there is a possibility some of the fish might eat your shrimp?

    Meet the M*A*S*H Duo!

Thank you!! My husband is a big M*A*S*H fan. He grew up watching reruns on TV with his father. His other choices were Transformers names... So B.J. almost ended up being named "Optimus Prime"!!! LOL :p

    Meet the M*A*S*H Duo!

Our dogs do the same thing...If you pay attention to someone, they try to wedge their way in and get you attention, which sometimes means climbing into your lap!

    Meet the M*A*S*H Duo!

I can relate... My Great Dane cross may not look as big in the picture as he does in person..But you know how big he is when he tries to snuggle with you...His idea of snuggling is climbing on top of you..He has no idea how big he is!! Lol

    Meet the M*A*S*H Duo!

Here is a picture of my two dogs. We call them the M*A*S*H Duo because they are both named after characters in the TV series M*A*S*H. They are my boys. ❤ I have two daughters, so these two are my guys. The smaller one to the left is Radar O'Reilly...Radar for short. He is a lab beagle cross...

    Meet Finnigan the Crested Gecko

When I was in highschool I saved up my money and bought a plastic children's swimming pool and hardware cloth/screen, and I dug a hole in our back yard (with permission of course..lol) and sunk the swimming pool into the ground and put a fence around it. I stocked it with sun turtles, tadpoles...

    Meet Finnigan the Crested Gecko

They do have tons of personality... Of you do end up getting a Gecko, definitely go with an Eyelash Crested Gecko over a Leopard Gecko... Crested Geckos are so much easier to care for than Leopards.. They do not require heating as much as Leopards do. You can get away without a heating lamp...

    Meet Finnigan the Crested Gecko

Here is a picture of our ~ 4-5 mo old Crested Gecko Finnigan. :D Well the name is Finnigan for now, until we are certain it's a male. I say that he is "ours" because I help make sure he is taken care of properly, but he is really my daughter's pet. She is the one holding him below. Sorry...

Do I swap my tanks around?

If both tanks are fully cycled and have been for a few months then you should be fine to swap the filters and fish (assuming the water parameters in both tanks are the same?)

Do I swap my tanks around?

Ah, I see... I would agree, swapping out the filters makes sense.
  29. dmpfishlover

Do I swap my tanks around?

You mention switching out the filters. Is there a reason you would do that? Is the filter on the 20 gal tank larger than the one on the 25 gal tank and therefore more appropriate for the larger tank? I'm just wondering why you wouldn't just leave the filters in the tanks they are currently in...

    Hostile fish

:hi: to the Forum!! Cichlids can be very territorial, and it can be difficult to find a good balance in species, numbers and personalities.. Years ago I had some younger Firemouths and Geophagus, in a 75 gal community tank with some Larger Tetras and Gourami. This was when I didn't know much...

    My 55 Gallon Hardscape

Thank you!!! I will plan on it. :) Hopefully I will have it planted and at least partially stocked by then. I can't afford to do it all in one "swoop". I will add a school of fish at a time as I can afford it.

    My 55 Gallon Hardscape

Thank you! Yes, I was thinking of just a couple of swords and some Val to hide the intake tubes and some anubias and Java moss on and among the driftwood, with maybe a few small crypts in the Forground. For floating plants, I am thinking of dwarf water lettuce and/or frogbit, and water Sprite...

    My 55 Gallon Hardscape

Here are a few pictures of my 55 Gallon Tank setup so far. Two HOB Filters Sand Substrate Mopani Driftwood and Spider wood I painted the back of the tank black It is currently going through a fishless cycle. I would have loved to have been able to do a planted, fish in cycle but I will be...

    MD Fish Tanks

I will have to check him out... You should check out MD Fish Tanks.. His planted tanks are just absolutely beautiful... and he is a crack up to watch!!! He doesn't take himself too seriously and he completely "butchers" and mispronounces all of the plant species names (I think on purpose) and...

    I LOVE it!!!

I used to have Neons and they did the same thing!! They would take the poop into their mouth, "swish" it around for a bit and then spit it out, like... "Oh, that was a mistake!" LOL!!! :p
