hi i have rushed out and bought to many fish so i have to try and do a cycle in a 30l biorb the fish i have in my tank are 1 neon tetra 4 cherry barbs 2 platys 1 red honey gorami 1 male betta 3 ottos 2 tiger barbs 1 sepae tetra my water stats are ammonia 1ppm nitrate 7ppm nitrite 0ppm ph 7.6...

sorry water stats were the wrong way round

ammonia = 0.2 nitrite = 0 nitrate = 40 I think it is a male better as it has very large fins as aposed to the small female ones the tank is about a month old, and i know i have done things wrong, thanks for the replys

Hi in my tank (30l Biorb) i had: 2 red honey gouramis 1 orange tailed black shark 1 betta 1 rose tetra 2 platys 3 ottos 2 neon tetra 2 tiger barbs 1 reb clawed crab one of my honey gouramis and 2 neon tetras have vanished and no carcusses can be found any ideas?

yer aint got a prob with doing the water changes as i live where i work part and parcel of being in the forces. im hoping a friend down the corridor is getting his tank set up (a 60l biorb) in the near future so will help him out to i spose tom

just done another water change and my levels are now Nitrate = 40ppm nitrite = 1ppm ammonia = 2ppm Were getting there planning on doing another tomorrow morning then sunday afternoon as im off out 2 tomorrow tom

so what happens if i go on holiday, such as in the summer i have 3 weeks off what is the best option for this? and i have to admit it was very esy to change the water, couldnt find a second bucket so used the bin lol many thanks for the help tom
