anyone know roughly how many ml of ammonia i'll need to achieve 6ppm in my 22g aquarium? is it just a case of adding a few ml and testing, and repeating until i get 6ppm? ta

i bought some yesterday in Homebase, its in their cleaning aisle with Mr Muscle etc... and it bloody stinks too! :sick:

keep changing the boiling water until there's no more colour coming from the wood.

i soaked my wood in boiling water for 24 hours, replacing the water when it cooled down (3 times) with more boiling. by the last water change it was clear and no yellow was coming out of the wood at all.

Hi all. recently purchased a Fluval Duo 600 84l aquarium. im just about to start fishless cycling, but am confused about which filter media i need to use. The filter is a Fluval 2+, and so far its been running the 2 standard foam filter media, which cleared the crap from the water nicely...

any tips on hiding it?
