Yes and against all odds, they are all in the same tank. This is a full list of fishes in that tank.

Is that a mono... in freshwater? :/

Is that a mono... in freshwater? :/

Yup, four monos in fact, and they have been in that tank for almost a year now, gained over an inch. They were nippy the first month or so, but somehow grew into solid citizens.

that would look amazing as a signature. i bet someone with good photoshop skills could make it happen

and i thought terrors were south American cichlids, yet they are in a tank with Africans :/

yup, the green terror hangs out with the fronts and ignore the labs or parrots. 4 fronts and 1 terror.

You'd think the green terror would eat the smaller fish.. ?

Interesting that you mention it. The existing mollies and swordtails (about 10 of them) are doing fine, swimming in open, middle of the tank and not hiding. But!!! I was over confident and added 3 female swordtails, all 2.5inches. Guess what, two of the three were eaten within 30 minutes. The last one was 'spared'.

How the tank is back to it's normal state.

As being they should have grown nearly 4 inches in that time an inch of growth isnt too impressive, Monodactylus sebae are a brackish/marine fish and they will not grow to their full potential of 10"+ or live their full lifespan in freshwater.

How big is that tank?

I'm just gonna say it now. That combination of fish worries me. A lot.

Worried me a lil initially too, the so call water preference issues, the body language issues, etc. But so far I haven't witness any of that. yet.

wouldnt it be better to not have to witness any of it at all by re-thinking your stocking :/
