Thank you, in a few weeks, when I get a little more allownace, I'm going to get two more bettas!

Yes, I know the pix are blurry.
There's no reason to spam about it either.

GOOD FISH!

BUT

BAD PICS!

Hmm.... I don't know if I'm just sensitive but that came off as being a tad rude, hairyadam. :/

I'm sure the fishies look even prettier in real life but that's no reason to be bluntly mean.

You also have a nice collection of fish .

Thanks.
When I got Marco, he was the only CT left, wonder why, he's really pretty and there is nothing wrong with him. Polo, was lucky, although I did get him at petsmart, no one wanted him and were, well about to cull him. He was pretty though. I got the female, from a local LFS called The HarMar Petstore. The three younger ones I got from Synirr.

beautiful fish...i have never owned one because ive been to afraid to add one into my tanks...but i feel bad just putting them in a little tiny bowl all by himself...i am a fish lover! but once again truely beautiful ive heard that these fish carry the most personalities of all the fish...lol im not sure if thats true

It is true!
Marco acts like a lazy tough guy
Polo acts like an avarage person
Rocket is determained
King is just normal
Emerald is a pig
Pie is shy

lol that is what i figuered...but hows there temperment with other fish in your opinion..some say u can put them in a community tank if u just place one male...what do you think?

Well we don't put them in tiny bowls all by themselves lol...we put them in 1-10 gallons tanks. Sometimes we split the 10 gallons up in 3-4 comparments. They are just as happy in a 1 or 2.5 gallon tank though.

Putting them in with your community fish is not reccomended though...bettas can and will kill/maim other fish..just be aware of that. It's best not to put them in there...even if the fish is mellow/mild tempered..because you never know when one of the other fish may bother it too much and the betta will snap.

Nice fish OA...can I give you a few tips on taking pics (not trying to be derogatory in the least by this)...

Place your camera on something..when you hold the camera and take pics..any movement before the shutter closes will make it blur.
Sometimes just taking a breath and your hand slightly moving will do it.

If you get alot of glare in your pictures...Shooting from a down angle will reduce glare off the tank, shooting at a up angle will create more.

Also, try taking pics a little further back away from the tank some.
The pic will be appear to be a tad smaller (because you are further away) but more in focus.

If you can change the settings on your camera (I know some don't give you that option though) try setting it to the middle (better) selection (most have poor, better, best options).
Then resize the pics in MS Paint before posting them. It will help your pictures be alot more clear.

One more thing...be patient. Don't try to take pics of a moving fish...unless you have a really good quality camer it'll never come out clear. Put the camera on something, find the background shot you want, then wait for your fish to stop moving if you aren't aimed directly at it..then slowly move your camera til it's in frame then snap.

It also helps to keep teh shutter button pressed halfway in. Most cameras allow this..it's an auto-focus function. Don't mash it so much that it take a pic..just lightly depress it until you hear the shutter react..you'll know it when you hear it. Might take a little practice but you'll get it fairly quickly...it's not all that hard :).

Try feeding the fish before the photo shoot as well. If they aren't "hungry" they won't be trying to swim around and grab your attention

Hey thanks! I'll try it now, cept there will be a bit of trouble, cause Rocket is in a 1 gallon fish bowl, but I'll try my best.
