They're here!! All hail Synirr!!!

Hello Everyone!

I received my bettas today, and they are being settled as I write. I'm going to take a very long time to acclimate Synirr's little guys, so no pics until much later. They are a little pale and a little cold, our first cold snap of the year, only in the 60s today, so they need to warm up a bit. I have my voice lesson today, so I won't put them in the water until I return, like I said, a really long acclimation.

They are soooooo tiny and cute! I promis I will post pics later.

Right now, I'm doing the happy fishy dance!

aww congrats! I just received my fish today too They are exploring their new homes yay!!! Didn't u find them so tiny? They are sooooo adorable!

The Niebelungens are settling into their new homes. The Niebelungens in Wagner's ring are little troll-like men that are greedy for gold. Now, Synirr's bettas don't look like trolls, but since they are small, short-finned, and two are a bit gimpy, they will have the Niebelungen names from the opera cycle.

This is Mime (Pronouned Me' mer). He has the most green. He is my desk betta, though I'll end up rotating them.


(Yoda voice) "I am wondering, why am I here?"

This is Alberich, he has already been in his cave and is the most introspective of the three.

"I worship the great frog king. Go away, I must pray now. Ommm, Ommmm..."

This is Hagen, notice he doesn't have any ventrals. Doesn't detract from his prettiness, though. Hagen and Alberich are "special" bettas. Don't tell them that.

"Will someone get this darn plant out of my way, it obstructs my view. Hey, who's that?"

All are happy, for now. I am very pleased.
