:hyper: I just got home from school... greeted by a gigantic Bubblenest in Maui's tank!! And, whats better, I JUST changed his water last night. And there was only a small line of bubbles on the edge when I left for school, which I thought was just normal WC bubbles!

I'm sooo excited, because this is coming from the pissiest Betta ever, who never has Bubblenests. I seriously started thinking I couldn't spawn him because his nests, if they were there, were so tiny and he never kept them up  now look at it!

My point of this thread.... is that I finally got the guts to add a heater to his tank. I got a small 8watt from W*M, because I was using a higher wattage and the water was above 80*. I just added the heater last night, and his temp has been constantly 78*, and LOOK! I know BettaMomma pushes it all the time, but seriously, heaters DO work! He made this huge thing in about 6 hours ~ before, he never made nests.

:kana:

I'm happy for you. It's interesting how the littlest things can change so much. It was like he was telling you. "geez stupid lady, all you have to do is make my water 78 degrees instead of 80" :p

 thanks! it got a lot bigger today... and his tail has regrown a bunch already! seriously, EVERYone who has a Betta needs a heater. these things rawk! Bonzai lurves his too. they only cost $6 at W*M and they're for 2-5gs... *pokes* go get one! :hey:

The smallest sized heaters at our WM were for 2 gallons or more--do they make them for 1 gallon sized tanks? None of my bettas have ever made a bubble nest  I think the water stays on the cool side at about 72°.
