Hello everyone, can you tell me if these are severums. That is what they were labelled as but all the pictures i've looked up don't match this one.

You know I've never realy noticed those before but, seeing that pic, they remind me of gouramies and, all of a sudden, are much more appealing. Now I want some...

Yean, they reminded me of gouramis too. They're lovely - I got them because they are supposed to be peaceful. I just got home with the name severum in my head and thought.. is it that?...no I'm sure its something else?

mine killed at least 4 cories, a common plec, and my all time favorite fish. my BICHIR!!!!!!!! these things are pure evil

i think most are. mine personally is pretty evil. at teh LFS it had killed off its tankmate and they didnt tell me until i brought in the cory and asked for a refund because it had died within 24 hours. and get this! the girl working there said they dont allow you to return a fish

Dwarfs your sev looks huge And it does all come down to personality, especially with larger cichlids...Hopefully you got yourself some peaceful ones.

everyone listen to digital runs advice!! or else! i have never had a fish that behaves as it is stereotyped to. my festivums aggressive, my severum is a big fluff, my rainbow cichlid is not skittish at all and sometimes gets nippy, my gold gourami chases all my fish around and my raphael mine as well not be there. its a complete log. but he keeps teh tank clean!
