Finally, I can post pics of the betta's that I already have.

First, there's Damien. I don't have a good one of him flared because he's a pain in the rear that way. He prefers to just look at us when we're looking at him, and whenever I hold a mirror up to the tank, he looks at me like "Mom! Why'd you have to bring HIM here?!"

And, here's a somewhat poor pic of Damien flared. You can see his coloring a bit better, but it's kinda blurry. This is the one that gets along with the neons and tends to herd them around.

And then, we have Sorensen. He's an attention hog, I think. He kinda likes the camera. I had trouble getting a SIDE view of him, but then he decided to be good and pose for me, so here he is:

He is pretty, isn't he? My preference is Damien, though. I like the darker colors, generally, and he's got such a quirky personality. He's the one that rejects normal betta food in favor of flake food. Weirdo.

My fav..Starbrite is a picky eater too but lately I've noticed he started eating pellets. At first he wont eat nothing but live food, he would sit and stare at & turn up his nose at anything else.

It's amazing what they'll eat when they realize they aren't getting anything else. I spoil my bettas, but they still have to eat their regular food, or go without. Damien is in a community tank, so I guess it's just as well that he eats flake food more. That way, I don't have to try to feed him something special with the other fish trying to eat it too.
