Spawn diary

Great pics and great bettas! Btw, what are you feeding them now? My spawn are about 7 weeks old, but not as big. I'm just still feeding them microworms. I have some 100-200 & 200-300 micron Golden Pearls, but I tried putting some 100-200 micron sized ones in there, but they don't seem to eat them.

They kinda float on surface of the water (the Golden Pearls), I thought they were supposed to stay suspended at various levels in the water to mimic live baby brine shrimp...

These guys never had micros. They were on vinegar eels for about 4 days free swimming and then went to bbs. Then at 4 weeks they switched to adult frozen brine. They've had some white worms, but I lost one to choking and another I had to rescue from the same fate  So we're sticking to the frozen until everyone is the same size or seperated where they can be fed seperately.

Hmm...so you had no trouble switching them to adult frozen brine? Mine won't seem to go for any of those Golden Pearls. Do you think I should try some freeze dried daphnia for variety? It just seems like most of my fry won't eat something unless it's wiggling around.

I would never give any of my fish freeze dried especially babies. Cardboard is all that is and dangerous as well.

They took it pretty easy. Maybe try mixing it with your live food?

GD- they are little hams  They follow me all over the room
