Breeding Qs

Yesterday i poseted to see if maybe my female was too small to breed. But my male is ready, really likes her alot...just think he may be too much for her size. I am worried he may kill her. Here are the pics of the love birds. She has been in her vase for three days. i really want to release her today. PS. Went to my petco Int...don't think I got it cause I used to work for them and didn't give them 2 weeks notice. Oh well, I did get an offer from a store down the street. I was surprised with this PetCo though. All of the bettas were in little Hex tanks, building nests, and being happy bettas. Here are the pics of my breeding pair...i hope they are good enough.

Here they are together...I tried to get a better pic, but they are so excited to see eachother...lol..they keep moving. You cannot really see her in varience to his size.

im sure she will be fine if the female is to big the male cant wrap anyway and they never mate or with limited success.......go for it ...

Maybe that is why he preferred my smaller female. He wouldn't build a nest for the larger one..Oh one quick Q. Do females build bubble nests....One of mine seems to be doing that? She is confusing me! Is it possible the store was wrong and I have another male?

possible.........but sometimes just to confuse you yes female have been known to blow bubbles.......

I regularly find bubblenests in Pixie's tank. They're aren't very cohesive, but she tries.

And don't worry that your girl is so much smaller than her mate. For the younger of my two spawns, the female wasn't much bigger than yours is, and the male was a pretty big boy. They did fine.
