Well, the time finally came, and I removed all my grass. Yep, all gone, along with the 1000 snails inhabiting it. The plan is to put some hair grass or some other dwarf grass that wont take over my tank. For that I bought some flourite and will be putting it in soon along with the grass.

Here's a second shot, as you can see, algae is a big problem, and the tank looks like crap right now. The plan is to remove all the algae ridden plants at one point and replace with new, or something along those lines.

Oh and here's a picture of my cardinal tetra fry, all about 2 months old now. With all the plants and the lack of time to watch, I didn't even notice they had fry until a month in!

Finally, a shot of my loaches digging out all the snails in the gravel. They couldn't do it before because the grass what shielding the snails, but now it's over

Im so glad you have removed it! I felt that it was ruining your tank as you couldnt see what was going on.

Get some ricca or a small grass to grow at the front and you should be fine.

As for algae, how about algae eating shrimp? (Japonica or Amano) They would go well in your planted tank.

I've never heard of anyone breeding Cardinal tetras. Well done, Konrad! :thumbs:
