No need to be sad anymore...

I even waited to tell BettaMomma till this post! He did it again today!

I gave him a w/c last night, so his cute little bubblenest was gone. :(

BUT, I was outside the past few hours, I come in, and he's got ANOTHER one! Seems he won't do these unless I am not bothering him for a few hours....

So, we got another bubblenest going today....since the one yesterday was disturbed. Perhaps this will be a daily thing?!

That must be one super happy boy!!!
As long as you keep the conditions right for him, I would guess you'll find a bubblenest in there every day.

How fun! :)

Tell him I said hello!!!

How's the medicating going?
Did you try the peas yet?

Noticing any changes in his swimming at all?

I'm really suprised....as awful as he looked on Sunday when I brought him home, by TUESDAY he was doing this.....

The medicating is going fine, I'm following the directions you gave me.....

Nope, haven't' got peas yet...but I will. He's eating good, flakes, pellets, bloodworms....because he doesn't eat a whole lot at one sitting, I've been feeding him 3 tiny amounts 3 times a day.

Just funny to see how much change is in him...

As far as his swimming, there's really not much change, he still swims like he did when you saw him, however I've noticed he's been a bit more active...since you brought the plant over, and has continued to be. He still goes down to the bottom once in awhile...it's sad to see him land and then flop over like he does. It just has to be the swim bladder thing like you said. Because he seems fine in every other way (except the fin, but that'll come back I'm sure!)

That's so incredibly great!

I can't even begin to imagine how happy he must be to not be sitting in that stupid cup anymore, day in and day out - watching all the other guys get picked up and taken home, then new guys come in and they get taken home, etc.

He is one ultra lucky little boy.
Keep up the good work!

hmm...
that's very possible.
I really need to pay more attention to what I buy.
I just asked her for hornwort, she said they were out, and this was something very similar.

:)

Here's pics showing what he's been up to again today...

Do males actually 'arrange' their nests when they have been working on them? Ya know we've said he has to fight like heck to stay afloat....but he'll fight like heck, like he's 'arranging' the bubbles just right...then go off to a different part of it, and arrange those too.....

If he catches me lookin' at him though, he stops, sinks to the bottom, and stares at me..... sort of with this look on his face like I'm disturbing him! :grr:

Dang, those are some pretty impressive bubble nests.
Yep, I'd say they do arrange their nests.

See if you can make out any words or anything in there... maybe a big ol' THANKS!
lol

That is completely amazing.
