I got Simba when he was 2 weeks old. I took him early from his mother because they were going to send them all to an animal pound. He couldn't even walk when I got him. He had anemia and had an upper respiratory infection. I'm sure he got over his anemia since he went from being just under one pound to being 14 pounds. I use to live in Chicago and when we moved he moved with us. He slept all the way to texas. He didn't do well in his carrier so he just sat next to my dad (my dad's not fond of cats so it was pretty funny )
He's two years old now, neutered, and very evil. He'll go from being a sweet cat to just snapping and biting. I don't know how to change that and I've asked several of his vets but they don't really know either. He has everything though...he's extremely spoiled. I never hit him even when he does bite. I just hold him down on the floor or tell him no but then he just gets mad so I usually just leave the room.
He fetches hair bands (he's addicted to them...when I do my hair I always have to give him the one I'm trying to use to tie it up).
He wasn't really socialized when he was little to other species of animals since when he was born it was extremely cold and couldn't take him out until April...unless he went to the vet and in that case I just covered him with a blanket. Oh yea, I also bottle fed him when he was little. My parents would laugh cause I had to wake up every 2 hours to give him his formula milk.
I love him very much though and I would never give him up no matter what he did to me. I know he can be mean but if I take him to a shelter I know what they'll do to him. Plus, if I took him in it's my responsibility to keep him happy as long as he lives and to give him the fullest life he can have.
I adopted Sky from the HSPCA. I work there so I knew what they did to sick animals even if they are minor things and she was sick. She had an upper respiratory and it's taking her a while to get over it. She's almost 7 months old now and I've had her for about a month. She's a Siamese calico. She's an attention getter though. She always wants someone with her and she's starting to get playful. I didn't think she would be like that though because when I got her all she would do is hide. Once she started feeling better she would go up to us so we could pet her. She's not the greatest cat to take pictures of though. Since all she wants is for someone to pet her she wont stay still if she's far from you. But I did my best.
