Four in all, eh?

Which was the one in the other picture (other thread)? :D
In the photo about my plants? That was Russell, he came out from behind the plant to shoo me away as they have eggs back there at the moment :p

Oh. Had they been angels, then it would have been ok to break off the decaying leaves, seeing as how you would have to move the eggs for fear of cannibalism.

Well, they are lovely specimens. Can youget a shot of the eggs, or does that freak the parents out too much?

if the eegs are on a cone you can put a net around it.. sometimes they just eat the fry once the hatched other times they let the fry feed on them, it a gamble but leaving the to be eaten is one aswell..

ruby is buitifull.
So are the rest. Say when you say sulking did you mean lost its colour? Mine as lost its colour since i got it 1 and 1/2 weeks ago. It is as though it is badly stressed. :-(

No he mainly sulked because he was being bullied by Russell, if he came out from behind the plant he would get chased back in. But since I got Ruski it has evened out the bullying a bit and he is more confident.
Normally when they are stressed or unwell they tend to go darker in colour and when they are happy lighter, but thats just what Ive gathered from watching them.

I love those discus, why do people compete to find the best discus? They are all beautifull
Is that discus scared? One of mine has got those lines and i still think he is scared. Is this true?

Yeah, they turn on and off, sometimes when males are showing off or playing pecking order, sometimes when they are frightened, sometimes when they are stressed. Just depends. :dunno: I know when I press my face right up to the glass they tend to put their stripes on. Maybe im not a pretty sight? :D

I love all discus, I dont compete to find the best ones, I just pick the cute ones!
