I am proud of myself. I went into one of my lfs's and didn't buy anything! I looked at all the bettas, and really liked a couple, but didn't buy any! I think I finally have a handle on this.

Trust me..... you'll find one that you not only really like, but just have to have. There is no stopping this disease, once it has you, you'll die with it.

Well actually maybe not. I actually saw this fish in the pic. But he cost more than what it cost me to purchase and set-up my 4 other fish combined: including tanks, nets, gravel backs, subdtrate, plants and all.

Really nice Betta, but really heavy on the wallet. So (sigh). Anyway...

This one was priced pretty good, but did not get him. After 5 daws of thinking (it was gnawing at me... now I really know what fish stress means) about it I called the breeder, ask if he was still there and reserved him. I solemnly promised that he is the last expansion to my colletion :unsure:

i have successfully cured myself. Only bought 1. Thats right 1 betta. Of course i bought it at walmart and thats about as fancy as it gets but its doing fine. I may get another few after i get my newer 5 gallon.

when I go into a petstore, you can bet on it that I'll come out with at least one betta loL! my rooms like sooooo bettaish

Am so proud of you for not buying anymore <wipes away a tear>

I have to literally go in my lfs blinkered now. Yesterday I went for some new silk plants and frozen food and had a sneaky look at the females and oh my goodness they had double tails for the first time ever!

I looked, I drooled :drool:

but I walked away :flex:

Thank goodness I live in England where its pretty cold or I'd have bowls everywhere!!

i went to walmart today for gravel and a filter cartridge and ended up with DT femail and CT female....whoops!!! my bad.....i thought i was doing better....

lol..that's why I do all my pet shopping online, so I am not temped to buy anything I do not need.

And I can't see all thsoe poor little guys in those horrible cups and be swayed into bringing too many of them home. I've bought several from Walmart..but htey die..and I just can't take it anymore..you get too attached to them.

They're like animals from the pound imo...they always seem to like you better then the ones you buy from Aquabid..so it's really hard when they pass.

It's too cold to have fish shipped to me now lol..so I'm limited to supplies only now hehe.
