I don't celebrate Halloween, but we have tons of trick-or-treaters and I am the "artsy" type, so I have to carve pumpkins. Every year I learn something new, and this year I tried a new technique, and style. I've got 3 pumpkins to do, here is the first, and largest. Really big. It is half green and half orange, but I carved in the green side to have the dramatic effect. I quite like it.
Here it is lit... I'll try to get a better pic Halloween.
Too long... maybe 2 - 3 hours. Doesn't look like it, but the partial carving out took a long time. I'm new to it also, so it took me a bit to get the hang of it. I know this isn't the most intricite pumpkin, but I think it's kinda neat.
Nope, it's only cut like 3/4 of the way through, so it's sort of a translucent effect - very cool. And the pumpkin is actually dark green, it just showed up black in the pics. Another cool effect I think, makes it very 3D.
Those are awesome "S"! Dan's is definitely psycho, but hey, he's a guy. I quite enjoy the mummy's eyes. Do they remind him of his mummy? BAhahaha... And finally, your design is the best.
So now you all can know how much I love bettas. ) I am an absolute nerd... I carved a betta pumpkin!! But it was perfect... long and thin since it won't sit on it's bottom... So here it is, lit up.
