so is it a regular guitar, or a bass?

I'm well confused now, I thought I would recognise a bass cos I play it but now I'm not sure...!
 
I'm with DA. The strings look too far apart to be a guitar, although its hard to tell from the pic how long the neck is.

Bassists kick bum. Not that I play bass or anything :whistle:
