Sad day...

I just found out a few hours ago that my favorite fish died. She's been living with my friend Susan back in Ohio and died this afternoon from wounds suffered during and after spawning successfully.

Sorry for the downer, I just needed to get my grief out. She was a truly great fish, my absolute favorite. She was always the first to come looking for food, always curious about what I was doing in the tank, coming forward and using her feelers to touch my hand when all the other fish kept their distance. A fine example of her kind.

I'm so sorry to hear that and for your loss, but like you said she successfully spawned so in a way you'll still have a part of her, at least you can look up to all the new babies

I'm so sorry mh. She was a beautiful girl, and must have lived a happy life with you.

I really hope the babies make it too. As they say, every storm cloud has a silver lining. They seem very strong, so I'm hopeful. We already had to take dad out, as he couldn't keep up with them anymore.
