A mara and a patagonian cavy are the same thing. But I don't know if that's the right kind of mara.

look at the muzzle of the mara it is way way longer than the viscacha
trust me on this.

Um . . . I saw a picture of those once in a book but I forgot the name.

yeah i think it is a mara. i saw one of those when i went to a zoo in Ireland years and years ago. i think we have a photo of it
