I prefer the natural look but this is what I have for now. This is my wifes first tank so I let her decorate it. We are going to be getting a couple plants every couple weeks if we can but our finances won't allow for more than that. How can I spark it up some?

Thanks in advance for your help.

OOOPS....let's try again. :*)

Still learning to get them to swim infront of the camera.

Actually, I am still learning to take pictures through glass. Going to post a few to get some pointers. I hope no one minds. :/

Ok the best way I found to take pics of a tank is to turn of all the lights except the ones in the tank and turn off the flass on the camera . works like a charm. I have posted some of my pics on this forum. but its been a while. maybe Ill respond to it to push it back up with yours.

I agree with Sgt Birch. I tried loads of times to get rid of glare and it was so much better with the lights & flash off,and tank light on.
BTW, what kind of fish is that black and white one? I think he's awesome

Nice pics Mr. Bink  . What we do to hide our air lines in the tank is buy a tall plastic plant and wind it around the air line. Not the best solution, but it camoflages it pertty well.

also try taking the pics at a slight angle, so that the flash from the camera is not reflecting off glass directly in front of you, usually works for me

Mr Bink, As far as hiding the air lines I always bury mine till they get back to the corner of the tank then I use christmas light suction cups designed to hold lights to hold the air line. It worked really great for me untill I started getting way to many air lines so I have been contimplating a new way of doing it and I think I have it figured out. I have a spare tube from my UGF and I think I can pack all the lines into it and then run it in the corner and attach it with a suction cup.
I will get it done sometime and snap some pics for all to look at

Les

Cool, thanks. :D It wasn't bad until I got a dark background and now they stick out like a sore thumb. I used ick away a while back and it turned all my lines from then blue. I replaced one but now that I have guppy fry I dont want to go messin with moving things around right now. Those darn mollies are keeping the numbers down well enough on their own. :(
