Here's my blue crayfish, sorry there only in the tub buts it's when i was sexing them, and the ones whilst in the tank didn't come out to well.

this is the female first.

anyone that can tell me what type they are would be good, my suppliers to my LFS hadn't got back to him yet!!

POTM from me, for the male.

Oh looks delicious... i mean great!

Can you keep them with fish or do they eat them?

lol, i'll set them loose on you!!

There in with 5 scissor tails, been ok so far.....

on 2nd inspection on the picture i think the male might of just changed sex actually!!

Cheers danio

But these are not the kind people usually eat right?

Oh and is it fully grown up or do those claws get bigger?

no, these will only get to about 6" f therethe right kind, overwise 1ft.

Yep they will be getting bigger :D

Cool :D A friend of mine has a blue crayfish that she keeps with guppies and barbs. As long as the fish are faster they are fine lol Otherwise they are dinner. She named hers Aloishious. :)

I was thinking tiger barbs at first but was advertised againast them as they roamed the bottom quite a bit.

But franky apart from true bottom feeders i think they all have about the same chance, I'ved already seen my lobsters shift aorund bloody fast and frankly could of polished off all 5 of the scissor tails in there by now if they wanted to!!

great litle dudes though

yeah yours look much different than the one my friend has. Hes much 'plumper' ... not fat, just bigger bodied. Yours are much longer. I'll see if I can find a picture of what he looks like. Color is different too. Hes BLUE. Yours are more grey. Maybe its because yours are young.. I dont know. Dont know much about those, but yours look different from hers.
