sorry folks, I am having techincal difficulties, however, I will have more shots in store later when this pile of trash starts to work again.

This was taken from the parking lot that I was booted from. So are the next 2. This here is a full view of a Genesis P-42 Arriving from Philadelphia.

This is an old, retired Pennsylvania Rail Road unit. It just sits there since Pennsylvania rail road......doesn't exist anymore.

I like the PA RR picture the best :) My husband is a railroad afficionado  When we're out driving, we take frequent detours in hopes of seeing a train or two :) Camera comes along too, if we don't forget it -_-

Thats good that he is into railroads. I am not alone here.

Hi njtransit21 :)

Nice pictures!

I was wondering why you have trouble watching for and taking pictures of the trains. It seems like there are lots worse things you could be doing with your time. I can understand people skateboarding getting kicked, because they could get hurt on the property, but it doesn't seem like watching trains is dangerous.

Do they think you might be a terrorist or something? :dunno:

Thats EXACTLY why we are not allowed to take photos on their property. At least Amtrak lets people take photos off property though. NJ Transit does not let any photography happen at all. It's really stupid.

Hi njtransit21 :)

That really is a shame! It's bad enough that these terrorists have caused actual damage and loss of life, but the fact that we have to live with all this concern about them might even be worse.

On the other hand, the trains do go into the tunnels and over the bridges and if something did happen to a train while in or on them, the results would be a very major disaster. I live on Long Island, and the worry is that we would be totally cut off from the rest of the country. While the distance isn't very far, food and everything would have to be shipped across the water to us. Considering that we have millions of people living here, that could be a problem.

I didn't realize until recently that Long Island is the largest island that is part of the mainland US. Only the Hawaiian islands are bigger.
