So I noticed that two of my Nerite snails, Speedy and Zip, seemed to no longer have EYES. A while back I HAD caught their respective bettas seemingly attacking them, which seemed odd as they had them in their tanks with no issues before.

Anyhoo, NOW I see they both have eye stalks again!

Since web searches now only give me garbage results, I only found ONE mention of snails, in general, growing their eyes back.

Can anyone confirm?

Recent research suggests that some snails, particularly mystery snails, have the remarkable ability to regenerate their eyes.1 If the eyestalk is amputated, the snail can regrow a functional eye within a few weeks. 1 The new eye may be slightly smaller than the original, but it will still allow the snail to navigate and perceive its surroundings.

However, it's important to note that this regenerative ability may vary depending on the species of snail and the extent of the injury. If the eyestalk is damaged but not completely severed, the snail may still be able to heal and retain some vision.
If you notice your snail's eyestalk has been injured, it's best to monitor its behavior and ensure it's still able to find food and navigate its environment. If you're concerned about its well-being, consulting with an aquarium specialist or a veterinarian experienced in aquatic animals can provide further guidance.
