Do any aquascapes come to mind? This could be from years back to the present day. Scapes that you saw in person, or even in a book/magazine.
Or perhaps in a picture or video online, even including any from this forum. It could even be an aquascape you created yourself.:fish:

It is most definitely not one of mine, but I've always loved how the wood looks like hands cradling the plants ever so gently
 
Anything Amano just blows me away . The pros really put some thought and planning into the stuff they do . Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazine has an Amano layout featured almost every month and I couldn’t pick a favorite to save my life . They’re all beautiful .

He was a master of his craft. Isn't there still some of his work in Portugal?

I've only just discovered this channel, but already blown away and think this guy is a genius! Makes me want to work on my DIY skills to be able to make an amazing tank like this! Seriously considering getting some firewood, a saw, and learning how to use the maisonry drill we have.

 
I can't say there's one aquascape that's gotten me - as aquascapes are like glimpses of the sea. Seconds later, they've changed (not literally, but close). I spoke with a guy who worked with Amano set ups, and he said most were taken down soon after the photos. Living things can be arranged, but it's too hard to control their dynamics and make the snapshot last.

But the cleverness and the eye a great 'scaper' has can inspire. There are ideas within aquascapes that really catch my eye. Ways that angles are used, or how plants are directed in certain ways. The fun, to me, isn't the finished product. It's the artist's eye.
 
To me, the scape, is only the place the fish play… they should be part of the picture… and while we can somewhat choose the colors, sizes, and numbers of fish, they constantly move, and create interest… that keeps us watching , and continues to draw the eye…

Otherwise static, they could just be a picture on the wall… and while if interesting enough, we will look at it over again…

But it’s the interaction of the fish, that makes the difference between looking, and watching…

This is my most memorable aquascape. I saw it randomly in a tour and instantly fell in love. This aquascape (alongside some from Green Aqua and serpa design) was probably the main reason that got me into aquascaping. I know it looks a mess but as a newbie I thought it looked amazing and still do.
